Leroy Merlin sees revenue in Russia rising 20% in 2019

MOSCOW, Jun 18 (PRIME) -- French home improvement and gardening retailer Leroy Merlin expects its revenue in Russia to grow 20% to 390 billion rubles in 2019, Leroy Merlin East CEO Vincent Gentil told reporters on Tuesday.

“In 2018, revenue stood at around 325 billion rubles, including value-added tax, an increase amounted to 20%. We expect growth of least 20% this year as well,” he said.

Leroy Merlin plans to spend over 30 billion rubles to open 15 stores in Russia until the end of 2019, Gentil said.

Leroy Merlin East Deputy CEO Nikolai Kozak said that the company plans to open around 13 stores in Russia in 2020.
